Call 631-629-4877, in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, for any installation, repair, or maintenance services relating to your boiling system. Below are signs that the boiler shows when it needs immediate attention.
1) You Hear Your Boiler Making Kettling Sound
Kettling is a loud banging or rumbling sound made by your heating system. It is one of the most common and significant problems in hot water boilers.
The water in Suffolk County has a high amount of minerals. The minerals get deposited and disrupt the water supply by changing the pressure levels in the tank. This may result in leaks in the boiler and put you at risk.
If you notice this problem in your heater system, seek professional help immediately in Suffolk County before it becomes a more significant problem.
2) You Find Leakages In Your Boiler
Leaking and dripping in the boiler is an emergency condition that needs a professional’s immediate intervention.
Any leak coming from the tank directly is a significant problem. It means the boiler cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced.
However, if the leak comes from a pressure value or a pump, it can be repaired easily. Call 631-629-4877, for all your emergency boiler repair needs.
3) No Heat Is Produced From Your Boiler
When no heat is coming from the boiler, ignition problems are possible. It might be because the safety switch is not working, a pump or thermostat may be broken, piping issues, etc.
Call a professional technician to look into the problem and repair instead of diagnosing yourself.
4) Trouble With Older Boilers Having Pilot Lights
Earlier pilot light switch had to be kept 24*7 switched ON for the heat to be available all the time. With advanced technology, now, electronic ignition is used to heat the water whenever needed. Though some boilers still use the old method of a pilot light.
If you cannot light the pilot light, seek technician help to diagnose and resolve the ignition issue.
5) Heat Is Not Present In Water
There is no heating happening centrally to the house. Some possible reasons are:
- The air got trapped in the radiator, stopping them from heating. Clearing trapped air from the system can solve the problem.
- The setting got changed to heat water only.
- There is some fault in the boiler or heating system.
In any of the above conditions, call a technician to find the root cause of the problem.
6) Boiler Seldom Keeps Switching Off
In this scenario, the boiler systems go off randomly. This happens when you don’t service and maintain your boiler system regularly.
Some of the reasons for this problem included trapped air in the system, high or low boiler pressure, a faulty thermostat, or the building of sludge/debris in the pipes. Always seek help from a qualified technician to resolve these issues.
7) You Hear Strange Noise In Boiler
There are several reasons why a boiler is making noises.
If the air is trapped, it will make a gurgling noise, and the faulty pump will lead to drone noises. It will make a humming noise if the water comes in the mains. And if the pipes are blocked, it makes a whooshing noise.
It is necessary to call a professional to get the top-notch boiler checked before the problem gets bigger. Never try to repair or resolve any of these boiler issues independently.
You can prevent these emergency boiler repairs if you service your boilers regularly, even on busy days of the week in Suffolk County. Contact Waterheaters for annual maintenance services or repair emergencies of hot water boilers in your Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. Call 631-629-4877.
Some information about Lake Ronkonkoma, NY
Lake Ronkonkoma is a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 20,155 at the 2010 census.
The actual lake, Lake Ronkonkoma, adjacent to the CDP, is the largest lake on Long Island. The land surrounding one side of the lake is in the jurisdiction of Islip. The elevation of the lake surface is given as 55 feet (17 m) on the most recent USGS map, but as the lake is a ‘groundwater lake’, not fed by streams, it has no surface outlet and its water surface reflects the current level of the local water table. This can undergo significant changes over time, and the lake level experiences slow periods of rise and fall. In the late 1960s it was quite low; after several intermediate changes in level, in 2007 the lake was higher than at any time since, with a difference of well over 5 feet (1.5 m) between the 1960s low and the 2007 high.
As a result of the lake’s existence, Lake Ronkonkoma was once a resort town, until the area experienced a population explosion in the mid-20th century. Remnants of old resorts and hotels can still be seen around the lake’s shores. Many summer cottages and bungalows from that period remain, now converted to year-round use.
The lake is the subject of a number of urban legends, mainly rooted in the area’s rich Native American heritage. For example: 1. ‘It’s bottomless’ (and/or empties into Long Island Sound or other waterways). In fact, the lake is relatively deep (approx. 65 feet (20 m)) at its southeastern side, and is what’s known as a kettle hole lake. 2. ‘Every year the lake sacrifices someone.’ Or more specifically, Princess Ronkonkoma ‘The Lady of the Lake’ calls young men out to the middle of the lake and drowns them. In all versions, the lady is an Indian princess who herself drowned in the lake, for reasons that vary depending on the story. The most popular version is that every year the lake claims one male victim. Articles suggest that in the past 200 years, only a handful of females have drowned in Lake Ronkonkoma. 3. ‘There is a mysterious rise and fall of the lake that doesn’t have any noticeable relationship to local rainfall totals.’ This has not been sufficiently explained either way.
